Hello. We’re The Occasional Store.
We are a brand-new South African business, and we’d love to tell you it started with a grand vision. It started with the petrol price.
Earlier this year we stood at the pump watching the numbers climb faster than the litres, did the sums on what it costs just to get to work and back, and decided that if the price of showing up was going to go up every month, we’d better build something of our own on the side. Something small, honest and ours. We didn’t have a factory or a warehouse. What we had was a laptop, a printer, a kitchen table and a long history of being the people who organise the games at every braai, birthday and office year-end.
So that’s what we made. Party games written here, for here, from a Halloween with the lights out to a murder mystery around the dinner table. The jokes are South African, the prices are in rands, and nothing needs a printer fancier than the one at the back of the office.
Every pack is written, tested on real friends and family (who are very honest after the second glass) and designed by us. Download it in minutes and print it at home, or let us print it in full colour on proper card and courier it to your door anywhere in South Africa.
We’re new. We’re small. When you buy a pack, a real person does a little dance, prints your order, and yes, puts petrol in the car. Thank you for being here at the very start.
